"80% of accidents involved someone eating"

This fills my patriotic heart full of freedom ... and chloresterol.

I like the interpretation of the law to be honest. Have I done it? Yes. Before I'm label as a Communist, etc. hear me out.

I like the fact that we are cracking down on distracted driver issues in the metro area as it really is an issue here.

However, the real reason that he was cited was the fact that he had an out of state tag. Cobb county is known for revenue generation and likely targets drivers most likely not to fight and just pay the ticket.

So it's all to do with being distracted when driving, and having your hands occupied with anything other then operating the vehicle at the time.

So I propose some sort of...car mounted hands free cheeseburger delivery system.

I'll make billions.....

What kind of cheeseburger? For that sorry excuse that Mc D's sells as a cheeseburger you will only need 0.8 hands and almost zero attention. For a Double-Whopper or something this size you usually need 2.5 hands and 120% attention. Well, that is if you care about your clothes and your car's interiour. What's next? Apples, bananas, water bottles?

The man admits that perhaps he was enjoying it too much and that he was willing to "tone it down".

I feel like I'm missing a part of the story, here, and that he was possibly deserving of a distracted driving ticket.

Cops here in Austin have hit people twice when they ran a red light while typing on their laptops while driving. But the law specifically exempts emergency services workers on the job.
